Hockey Development Sessions

Each Blackfoot hockey team (U7-U18) will be given two Hockey Development Sessions this season.  Blackfoot Hockey Development will contact each head coach with information on these Hockey Development Sessions.

The Hockey Development Sessions will be run by Drew Coles or his staff members.  Focus will be on overall skill development.  Skating focused for younger age groups.  Coaches will be given a menu from Drew on possible skill sessions they can chose from for their player/team development.  All coaches are expected to participate on ice for development opportunities.

About Drew Coles

Drew has over 10 years of experience developing hockey skills with young athletes.  His first coaching experience was with the Sylvan Lake Hockey Camp when he was 16 years old.  Since then, Drew has worked as a head coach/instructor with multiple skill development programs and companies such as the Okanagan Hockey Academy, and the Calgary Flames Hockey School.  Currently Drew is an employee of Hockey Canada and Hockey Alberta where he runs on ice skill development with athletes of all ages and skills.  Drew also started his own company that runs out of Prague in the Czech Republic that has seen players travel from Iceland, Switzerland, Scotland, Germany, Norway, Sweden, and local Czech players for sessions and camps.  He is looking forward to working with both the coaches and athletes in the Blackfoot Minor Hockey Association.
